Installing an Energy Efficient Electric Radiator from us is quite simple.

Daunted by the prospect of fitting a new heating system? Don’t be. All our radiators can be installed very quickly and easily with basic DIY skills. Below we will tell you how easy it is:

What’s included in the box?

Inside the box you will find the radiator with 1.5m cable and moulded 13amp plug, 1 x wall bracket (which acts as the template), instruction manual, screws and fixings.

Where to fit an electric radiator?

You can fit one of our wall mounted electric radiators anywhere, although the best place to fit any radiator (including a central heating radiator), is under a window. You will need a socket close by of course! Make sure there are no hidden pipes or wires in the wall where you are drilling.

What tools will I need?

Pencil, Hammer Drill, 6mm Drill Bit, Safety Goggles, Screwdriver.

Will I require an electrician?

You can hang the radiator on the wall and just plug into a normal socket for that DIY installation. However, if you want to wire into a fused spur or are replacing storage heaters, you will need an electrician.

Wall mounting

Our patented ‘H’ shaped bracket also acts as the template. This means you don’t need a spirit level which you need with other manufacturers with two separate brackets. Also, there’s no messing about with massive paper or card templates.

Simply place the bracket on the floor against the wall. Mark the wall through the upper holes on the bracket on both sides. Drill in the markings and insert rawlplugs. Move the bracket up and position with the bracket lower holes covering the rawlplugs, mark the upper holes, drill and inset rawlplugs. Screw the bracket into position and slide the radiator on the brackets. Once fitted, you can fit the optional safety clips. These prevent anybody lifting the radiator off the bracket.

Stud walls

The screws provided are for use on a solid wall only. For plasterboard walls, please use specialist plasterboard screws such as Redidriva or similar.

Cable

The cable comes out of the bottom right of the radiator as you look at the radiator on the wall. It is 1.5m long and comes with a 13amp plug attached. The cable can be cut down to size for fitting and wiring into a fused spur.

So that’s it. Our electric radiators can be fitted by anyone and just plugged in.

Electric radiators are an ideal choice for replacing storage heaters or a failed gas/oil/lpg central heating system. They will provide the same experience as a central heating system but with greater controllability. The Ultra Slimline Curvo + and Prisma + electric radiators come with a range of Energy Saving Features and have a built in energy counter  so you are able to monitor day to day usage.

As the UK moves away from traditional fossil fuels to more secure low carbon heating, electric is increasingly becoming an environmentally friendly option. Electricity can be produced from renewable sources such as solar or wind, making energy efficient electric radiators an eco-friendly heating solution.
